Happy 2007!!!

Sunday, December 31st, 2006

Just dropped by to greet you all a Happy and Prosperous New Year!  2007 is the Year of the Red Pig.  You might want to check out your fortune and what’s in-store for you this coming year.  As for me, a Horse in the Chinese Horoscope, it’s just a fair year for me.  But whatever it is, the best thing that we can do is to pray that we’ll have a better year ahead!

Oh! By the way, let me also greet my hubby a Happy 6th Anniversary!  Yesterday was our anniversary.  I just wasn’t able to find the time to post.  Nevertheless, it was memorable since we celebrated it together with a close friend of ours who got married yesterday.  Attending it gave us an opportunity to somewhat "renew" our vows. = )

Merry CHRISTmas!

"Christmas is not in tinsel and lights and outward show.  The secret lies in an inner glow.  It’s lighting a fire inside the heart. Good will and joy a vital part.  It’s higher thought and greater plan.  It’s glorious dream in the soul of man."

–Wilfred A. Peterson (The Art of Living)

Merry CHRISTmas to all!

It Runs In The Blood

Thursday, December 21st, 2006

Mom1_1 Last December 8, my mom and their choir had a mini concert.  Before that day, she was excitedly inviting her relatives to watch her show.  And when she called me up and asked me to be there, I told her that Alex and I will definitely be there to support her.

Group10_1I think that "music and the arts" runs in our blood.  My grandfather was a Zarzuela stage actor.  My mom, sings and dances very well.  My eldest brother, was a drummer and guitarist in his band back in his college days (Oh yes! And he can dance too!).  While, my other brother, is currently a choreographer and dancer of Manoeuvres.  And yours truly, can dance and act too. = )

Actually, I really miss those days when I used to groove and act in front of so many people.  I enjoyed performing and sharing my talents with others.  And you know what?  I still dream of the day that I’ll be dancing with my brother and his group in a major concert! (Naks! Pagbigyan nyo na ko.  Libre naman mangarap diba?  Maybe in one of Gary V.’s or Manoeuvres’ dance concert?  Hahaha! How I really wish!)

Anyway, while I was watching my mom sing, I suddenly felt proud and happy!  I was used to her watching me during my performances.  But now, it’s the other way around!  I was just so proud of how she carries herself and exudes that radiant confidence while singing at  the top of her voice.  Imagine, at 65, she was still able to fulfill her dream of singing professionaly.

Momandi_1 That’s why, I won’t let that day pass without having a picture with my dearest mom!  It’s just to show the whole world that I love her and I am so proud of her!!!
