Last December 8, my mom and their choir had a mini concert. Before that day, she was excitedly inviting her relatives to watch her show. And when she called me up and asked me to be there, I told her that Alex and I will definitely be there to support her.
I think that "music and the arts" runs in our blood. My grandfather was a Zarzuela stage actor. My mom, sings and dances very well. My eldest brother, was a drummer and guitarist in his band back in his college days (Oh yes! And he can dance too!). While, my other brother, is currently a choreographer and dancer of Manoeuvres. And yours truly, can dance and act too. = )
Actually, I really miss those days when I used to groove and act in front of so many people. I enjoyed performing and sharing my talents with others. And you know what? I still dream of the day that I’ll be dancing with my brother and his group in a major concert! (Naks! Pagbigyan nyo na ko. Libre naman mangarap diba? Maybe in one of Gary V.’s or Manoeuvres’ dance concert? Hahaha! How I really wish!)
Anyway, while I was watching my mom sing, I suddenly felt proud and happy! I was used to her watching me during my performances. But now, it’s the other way around! I was just so proud of how she carries herself and exudes that radiant confidence while singing at the top of her voice. Imagine, at 65, she was still able to fulfill her dream of singing professionaly.
That’s why, I won’t let that day pass without having a picture with my dearest mom! It’s just to show the whole world that I love her and I am so proud of her!!!
